Lia Best Dog Ever
Fifteen superb years and service! Lia (pronounced Lee-Ya) was named after the film character, Princess Leia, of Star Wars. After Buster, Lia was the second dog of the family, and was gifted to Wilson by a friend. Born in 1996, Santa Rosa, with an unknown breed mix, best guessed a mix between Rottweiler and English Shepherd.
Lia’s temperament was gentle and eager to please, friendly to all dogs and humans. Lia had exceptionally soft hair, there was no secret to it. Her signature move was running figure 8′s on wide expanses of grass. She was a quick runner for her size, 55 lbs. in her prime. Nothing pleased Lia more than everyday walks, off-leash hikes in the great outdoors, and summertime lounging in the pool.
Her health was tops well into her fifteenth year; it was only natural kidney failure that slowed her appetite. Lia has been deservingly called, “the best dog, ever,” by all who spent time with her. We will miss Lia greatly.
